ceaning a pond

This last two days Isabel and I have been cleaning the pond in our garden - not previously done for many years. "Cleaning" was not an adequate word!  By now the pond was a solid twisted mass of strong grown and growing threads. Only after (fairly short) work in two days did we achieve a proper "pond". But it was fun doing it. (I suspect that proper people with proper garden don't do it this way.)
